Unlocking your Anti-Racist Mind and Suicide Prevention
In this presentation, Dr. Sean Joe will present considerations for unlocking your anti-racist mind and will discuss the history of human diversity science and the implications for using an equity lens in clinical and preventative interventions. The presentation will highlight the emerging science on patterns and trends of suicidal behavior among ethnic minority population in the U.S. and globally. It will also highlight the emerging science on trends and risk of suicidal behavior among black children and adolescents in the U.S to ring the alarm regarding the need for increased equity in our science.
